2012 International Conference on Application of Computer Technology in Translating and Foreign Language Teaching
Call for Papers
Translation and foreign language teaching need the assistance of computer technology. Therefore, to push forward the research on application of computer technology in translating and foreign language teaching and to promote cooperation and communication among Chinese and foreign scholars and researchers in relevant fields, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST for short) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong will jointly sponsor “International Conference on Application of Computer Technology in Translating and Foreign Language Teaching,” which will be held from Nov. 8 to Nov. 9, 2012 at the university of USST. Scholars both at home and abroad will be invited as keynote speakers，including Professor Chen Shanwei from Chinese University of Hong Kong，Professor Chen Jianlin from Shanghai International Studies University, Senior Lecturer Mark Shuttleworth from Imperiral College London and Professor Shinchan Wong from California State University Fresno, USA. Excellent scholarly papers will be selected and recommended to some journals for publication such as Computer-assisted Foreign Language Education (CSSCI) , Shanghai Journal of Translators (CSSCI) and Journal of USST (Social Science Edition). Awards will be set for Excellent Papers: 1 for special prize, 2 for first prize, 4 for second prize and 8 for third prize.
