報告人簡介：Prof. Chan Sin-wai is professor of the College of Humanities and Social Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Prof Chan earned his PHD degree from University of London in 1977. He was the former chairman of the Department of Translation, Director of the Centre for Translation Technology, Director of the M.A. in Computer-Aided Translation Programme, at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is Chief Editor of the Journal of Translation Studies and Editor of the Journal of Translation Technology. His research interests are translation studies, translation technology, and bilingual lexicography. His recent publications include the Longman Dictionary of English Language and Culture (Bilingual Edition) (2003), A Dictionary of Translation Technology (2004), A Topical Bibliography of Computer(-Aided) Translation (2008), A Chronology of Translation in China and the West: From the Legendary Period to 2004 (2009), A Chinese-English Dictionary of the Human Body (2011), and Style, Wit and Word-Play (co-edited with Tao Tao Liu and Laurence K.P. Wong, 2012).
